THE PIONEERS: TREE HOUSE, DARMSTADT 1970 : Ot Hoffmann

Editors Biotope City

The Tree House in Darmstadt was designed and built by architect Ot Hoffmann in 19969-1970. It showed already at the end of the 60s an opposite model to the predominant idea that ideal living conditions only could be found on the country side meanwhile living in cities were uncomfortable and unhealthy cities. He shoed that cities could be turned into liveable places by an structural integration of nature into a urban building.
