Pia Minixhofer studied Natural Resources Management and Ecological Engineering at the University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences Vienna (BOKU) and Lincoln University, New Zealand. After she got her master’s degree, she stayed at the Institute of Soil Research (BOKU) for the project INSPIRATION, which aimed towards a strategic research agenda on soil, land-use and land management in Europe.
Currently, she works as a university assistant at the Institute of Soil Bioengineering and Landscape Construction (BOKU) and writes her PhD thesis on sustainable management of soil resources for urban green infrastructures. She is part of the kollektiv regenwasser to find integrated solutions for urban rainwater management.
She has a broad interest in various sustainability subjects and published articles for online magazines (e.g. on green infrastructures) and on her own blog.
