Lecture on the Youtube Channel of Biotope City Journal:
Man-made climate change is real, it is due to the increasing concentration of CO2 in the atmosphere, which is mainly caused by the burning of coal, oil and gas. Therefore, the solution seems to be to reduce emissions to zero within a relatively short period of time, namely by 2050. However, this strategy has now caused serious economic and social problems.
It is becoming increasingly clear that this is also not technically feasible. The CO2 zero strategy also fails to take sufficient account of the effect of ‘sinks’, i.e. the mechanisms of oceans and land plants to absorb CO2. Climate change is also exacerbated by the global reduction of leaf mass due to large-scale deforestation and sealing. This disrupts natural balancing mechanisms.
Ganteför has developed a differentiated strategy that can be used to gain time for socially acceptable, sustainable climate change.
Em. Professor Dr Gerd Ganteför, physicist specializing in nanotechnology, worked at the University of Konstanz, where he researched and taught until 2022. In his capacity as a physicist, he has devoted himself in recent years to the question of the cause of climate change. He is the author of numerous publications and videos on YouTube on this topic.
