Piotr Szczesniak is a young architect born in Warsaw, where he got his bachelor degree in architecture at Politechnika Warszawa (Warsaw University of Technology). He has continued his master education at Technische Universiteit Eindhoven. While studying in The Netherlands he has worked in several Dutch architectural firms: Architecten van Maurik, BO.2 and Studio Marco Vermeulen. He is also co-founder of Bygg Design.
Starting professional practice in the grand transition time of social-, environmental- and energy crisis inspired him to rethink the role of architect in society. He focuses around 'Human', in all senses of its meaning, starting with needs of users, communities and the natural environment.
He belives that the role of the architect is to translate needs of 'Human' into more functional, balanced and sustainable solutions.
